  1. This is a great idea for a meme, Margaret, and you’ve chosen books from series that I really like. Robinson, Mantel, Hill, Rankin, McDermid, and now Horowitz – all of them have written excellent books.

  2. I loved Magpie Murders and have just discovered there’s a new book in that series out next year. I also enjoyed The Way of All Flesh, but I think I preferred some of the other Raven and Fisher books.
