I’m taking part in Cathy’s summer reading challenge and opted for the 10 book version, starting on 1 June 2018 and running until 3 September 2018. One of the joys of this challenge is that you can change your list at any time!
With just over a week left this is my revised list, showing the books I’ve read so far, with links to my posts:
- On Beulah Height by Reginald Hill
- Darkside by Belinda Bauer
- Ruined Stones by Eric Reed
- Camino Island by John Grisham – review to follow
- The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware
- Absent in the Spring by Agatha Christie
- Appleby’s End by Michael Innes
- Cecile is Dead by Georges Simenon
- Don’t Look Now and other stories by Daphne du Maurier – I’ve read the first story
- Coffin Road by Peter May
You’ve got some great books here, Margaret. And you’re right; the prerogative to change the list is a great thing, isn’t it? The whole point in any case, at least for me, is to enjoy the ride, so to speak.

I wish I’d gone for the 10 book option now as I’d be home and dry on that one but progress on my original list of 20….hmm. I think I’m going to be taking advantage of the flexibility to amend my list for the final days of reading. I’ve read loads of books, just not the ones on my list!

I intended to do this this year but then got distracted by moving home. I hadn’t realised there was a 10 book version. That might be the way to go for me.
