Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. For the rules see her blog. The topic this week is Genre Freebie and I’ve decided to list ten crime fiction books from my TBR lists (physical and e-books).
Links from each title will take you to the description on Goodreads.

The Talented Mr Ripley by Patricia Highsmith
Ripley Under Water by Patricia Highsmith
House of Shadows by the Medieval Murderers
A Moment of Silence by Anna Dean
The Twist of the Knife by Anthony Horowitz
Standing in the Shadows by Peter Robinson
As the Crow Flies by Damien Boyd
The Girl Next Door by Ruth Rendell
Murder in Piccadilly by Charles Kingston
I’ll Keep You Safe by Peter May
My husband is a big fan of the Ripley series and they prompted him to read more by Highsmith so we have quite a collection in the house. I’ve yet to read any of them though!

I have three books by Highsmith, two Ripleys and Strangers on a Train. I have started to read Strangers a couple of times, but have not got very far with it. I don’t know why – I’ve been wondering why when other readers have loved it.

Great choice for genre. I don’t think I’ve read any of these. Here’s my TTT: https://bonniereadsandwrites.com/2023/08/22/top-ten-tuesday-top-ten-historical-fiction/

You’ve got some great ones on this list, Margaret! Highsmith wrote some excellent suspense stories, and Horowitz has written some fine novels, too. Ooh, and I like Peter May’s work as well. You’ve got some good reading ahead of you!

I loved the Anthony Horowitz book and am looking forward to the next one in that series! I’m also hoping to read The Talented Mr Ripley soon, after enjoying my first Patricia Highsmith novel, Strangers on a Train, earlier this month.

I also have Strangers on a Train to read. I have started it twice but haven’t finished it – I seem to have hit a block! I don’t know why.

I had the first book in that Anthony Horowitz series on my TBR at one time. I can’t recall why I removed it, and looking at the synopsis again now, I may have to re-add it.

I enjoyed the earlier books in the series very much and hoping to enjoy The Twist of the Knife too.

I love crime fiction, too. The only Highsmith book I’ve read is STRANGER ON THE TRAIN and I really didn’t like it. I do love Peter May, though. I’ve read a lot of his and really like them. I hope you enjoy all these!

I also have Strangers on a Train to read. I have started it twice but haven’t finished it – somehow I’ve been reluctant to carry on reading it.
