Classics Club Spin

Before next Sunday, 16 August 2026 create a post that lists twenty books of your choice that remain on your Classics Club list. On that day the Classics Club will post the winning number. The challenge is to read and review whatever book falls under that number on your Spin List by 4 October, 2026.

I nearly missed this Spin, but saw it just in time I hope before the draw is announced!

Here’s my list:

  2. The Case of the Gilded Fly by Edmund Crispin
  3. Dombey and Son by Charles Dickens
  4. Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens

  1. I really like this list, Margaret. In Cold Blood is, I think, I really interesting take on the Clutter murders. And you can’t go far wrong with Charles Dickens. I’ve wanted to read The Go Between myself, so I’ll be interested in what you think if that’s the one you get. And I thought Go Set a Watchman gave such an interesting perspective on the characters in To Kill a Mockingbird. Whichever book you get, I hope you enjoy it.

  2. This looks like a nice variety! I’ve read North and South and Brave New World. North and South is one I need to read again sometime. I’ve read several Dickens so far but haven’t read the ones you’ve listed. I do have Nicholas Nickleby on my shelf though. 👍 Good luck with the spin! 😊
