The year is almost half-way over and it’s time for a second quarterly check-in post for Bev’s Mount TBR challenge. I’m answering three of Bev’s questions:
An Autobiography by Anthony Trollope has been on my mountain the longest – I’ve had this book for over 20 years. The reason it had sat unread on my shelves is that when I bought it I hadn’t read any of Trollope’s books and I thought it would be better if I knew a bit about his work before reading about his life. It was definitely worth the wait – a fascinating account of his life and also about how he went about his writing; he criticises his own books and writes about his fellow writers.
And:
My Day in Books
Use titles from your list to complete as many of the following sentences below as you can. If you haven’t read enough books to give you good choices, then feel free to use any books yet to be read from your piles. I’ve given my answers as examples. Feel free to add words (such as “a” or “the” or others that clarify) as needed.

I love your answers to My Day in Books. 🙂

great post, I didn’t even tackle this challenge, the mountain is now a range, so it will take some time.

It helps remind me that I’m neglecting my TBRs – which is necessary as I could easily read new books and library books.

Thanks Bev – I’ll try to remember I have lots of unread books when I’m tempted by new ones!

That was fun to hear about your journey to the top of Mount Ararat of TBR mountain. Our TBR mountain is more of a mountain range with peaks in three rooms. Yikes.

I know what you mean Terra – mine is a mountain range too, with mountains in several rooms!

I too have more of a mountain range than a solitary peak, but am tackling small bits at a time. #TBR20 currently and then I’ll do a blitz of my ebooks (or at least make a small dent in them). Good luck!

Very clever use of your titles in your ‘My Day in Books,’ Margaret! And I think it’s great that you’re making progress on the TBR, even if you’re not yet where you’d like to be with it. Oh, and the Trollope sounds interesting!
