My snapshots today are of Inchree Wood and Righ Falls in Glen Righ, on the eastern side of Loch Linnhe, near Glencoe. It was a cool day in September this year when we walked up the woodland trail to see the waterfalls, but the views were still spectacular.
The walk is through woodland with views of Loch Linnhe below:
The waterfall comes into view:
It cascades down the hill side:
The trail continues uphill through broad-leaf and conifer trees:
It’s a good place to see red squirrels:
through the viewing holes:
But we were disappointed not to see one!

Oh, I love the trails you find and photograph! Makes me want to take a drive (or walk) somewhere to capture nature.

What great pictures of Scotland. What a pity you didn’t see a red squirrel.

If you ask my son the one place he would like to go on vacation, his answer would be Scotland. I’m putting this place on my list of places to go. I’d love to hike there!

That waterfall is incredible, and I think the tree trunk on the right-hand side of the last photo looks like an elephant’s trunk… but perhaps I have an over-active imagination!

Lovely photos, we must stop driving south and go north instead. The last time we drove into Auchterarder a red squirrel ran in front of the car, it was a scary moment for us but the squirrel didn’t notice!
