ABC Wednesday

Last week I found the ABC Wednesday meme, which was started by Mrs. Denise Nesbitt, and people from all over the world come together to play and share their entries. Each week word(s) beginning with the designated letter are selected and illustrated through a photo, poem or prose. This week is the letter J.

J is for Jigsaw

As well as reading I also enjoy doing jigsaws and I’ve just started doing this one:

Eventually it will look like this. It’s a view of Little Langdale in the Lake District.

  1. Lovely puzzle, Margaret! I, like Lilian, have no patience for jigsaw puzzles. However, the Lake District does remind me that I want to continue reading Martin Edwards’ mystery series. LOL

  2. I love doing jigsaws but, like chocolate, can’t leave them alone until finished! Some of my children and grandchildren enjoy jigsaws too.
Good luck with all those greens 🙂

  3. I like jigsaws…I used to do them with my mother who loved them.
it will be lovely when done, but it looks nice, unfinished, against that red cloth.

  4. That looks like it could be a tricky puzzle. Beautiful place though, I don’t live too far away and the leaves are starting to turn but not as much as the puzzle picture, yet.

  5. It’s been such a long time since I did a jigsaw! Now you’ve made me want to go and get one out! That one looks quite difficult …

On behalf of the team, thanks for taking part in ABC Wednesday this week. 🙂

  6. Oh welcome neighbour – you can not be too far from us (Whitby) is that right? I recognised many of the scenes from your blog so it is great to see you here,

  7. I absolutely adore jigsaw puzzles and although my husband doesn’t, he’s always seeing a picture that prompts him to say, “Wouldn’t that make a good jigsaw puzzle?” I’m going to have to buy some new ones; my old ones have been done so many times I almost have them by heart. Good to know I’m not the only one who loves them.

  8. Ooo, that looks like a “tough-y,” as my kids would say. Tis the season at our house for puzzles. My kids usu. work on them in the afternoons while I’m reading aloud to them. We’ve been in a rainy pattern for a couple of weeks which has made them more appealing, but puzzles are also our Christmas holiday tradition — there is always a “puzzle table” up for the holiday weeks with a puzzle that we work on all together as we can. Such good memories around puzzle making.
