We had a break in the snow this afternoon, the sun came out, the sky was blue so we ventured out for a walk across the road into the fields alongside a wood and then down to the river.
We climbed over a ladder stile and then went down a narrow path towards the River Tweed
and then looked down on the ice flows on the river.
The views were spectacular.
Then the sky darkened and snow began to fall and so we made our way back home through the woods.

Oh Margaret this river is just perfect. The picture you took with the reflexion of the trees on the surface of the water is such a beautiful shot. I do like the sound of “River Tweed”. It is like a poem. Thank you for that.
Margaret, these pictures are so lovely. Thanks so much for sharing with us. I hope you are liking your new place.
You have chosen wisely, my friend.
Just beautiful – the “Into the wood” path looks so inviting!
Breath taking! I would LOVE to live where you do.
This is so lovely. Your new location is wonderful!
So you’ve worked out how to get down to the river 🙂
now how do we get Annie down there?
Easy peasy Paul – the way we came back. Walk on beyond where you stopped with Annie and then into the wood and it’s a gentle stroll downhill to the river.
Those are beautiful. How wonderful to have that in your own backyard.
All of these pictues are wonderful. I’ve enjoyed this walk with you. You have truly moved into a winter wonderland.
