It’s almost time for Novellas in November, hosted by Cathy of 746 Books and Rebecca of Bookish Beck.
I’ve already listed some novellas from my physical TBR shelves and today here are some from my TBR Kindle shelves:

- Appointment in Arezzo: A friendship with Muriel Spark by Alan Taylor – 169 pages
- The Lost World by Arthur Conan Doyle – 165 pages
- Silent Kill: Maeve Kerrigan Book 8.6 by Jane Casey – 100 pages
- Murder on Thames, a Cherringham: Mystery Shorts Book by Matthew Costello, Neil Richards – 126 pages
- Five Six Pick Up Sticks by EJ Lamprey – 167 pages
- Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell – 196 pages
- Daisy Miller by Henry James – 69 pages
- The Aspern Papers by Henry James – 107 pages
- The Third Man and the Fallen Idol by Graham Green – 160 pages
- Travels with a Donkey in the Cevennes: A Journey of Solitude and Reflection by Robert Louis Stevenson – 124 pages
Where would you start?
I only thought to add in books from my e-readers afterwards! Muriel Spark is a favourite of this challenge. The Orwell is excellent. I also enjoyed the Stevenson, an unusual little book.

I only thought of e-books afterwards too – hence this post. I didn’t realise I had so many and some I’d forgotten about too!

Travels with the donkey might be a good place to start your ‘journey’.

Have you read it Rosie Amber? I’ve seen mixed reviews.

I always love a Muriel Spark for this challenge and I didn’t realise there was a short little Maeve Kerrigan book!

Me too, Cathy. The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie is one of my favourite books.

Lovely choices, Margaret. You’ve reminded me that I must get more familiar with Muriel Sparks’ work. And some of Jane Casey’s novels are terrific. Ooh, and Orwell and Stevenson, too. What a nice variety!

I’ve only read Daisy Miller and that was too long ago to remember! The one about Muriel Spark sounds good. I’m looking forward, as usual, to both Novellas in November and Nonfiction November.

I’m still wondering whether to take part in Nonfiction November this year.

I adored The Aspern Papers, so I’d start there!

Daisy Miller. I didn’t realize it was a novella. I’ve always wanted to read it. The Donkey book by Stevenson sounds fun.

Either would be good – I hope.

I have totally neglected all me e books. Can’t remember the last time I read one in fact – not this year certainly – so who knows what treasures I am missing
