A Bookish Meme

I’ve taken part in this meme a couple of times in the past. So I when I saw it again on Irene’s blog, she found it on Carrie’s blog, I thought I’d have a go too.  Here are my answers using the titles of the books I’ve read so far this year.

In school I was: Quiet

People might be surprised I’m: The English Spy

I will never be: The Hobbit

My fantasy job is: Searching for the Secret River

At the end of a long day I need: The Hand that First Held Mine

I hate it when: Mrs McGinty’s Dead

Wish I had: The Kashmir Shawl

My family reunions are: A Time of Gifts

At a party you’d find me with: The Birthday Boys

I’ve never been to: The Black House

A happy day includes: Wildwood: an Journey Through Trees

Motto I live by: Not the End of the World

On my bucket list: Treasure Island

In my next life, I want to be: Cat Among the Pigeons

  1. I love this meme and have done several of them. I’ll have a go this week perhaps.

Apologies for not answering your email about dumper trucks yet. You may have seen it on FB but we had a bad week last week, which included my husband being admitted to hospital overnight. He’s fine now but I’m only just starting to catch up on various things like blog comments and emails.

  2. Hi Margaret,

I haven’t taken part in this meme for a couple of years now, so it might be fun to stop by and give it a go this time around.

I love some of your answers, you have done an excellent job at selecting titles. I particularly like your answer to the last question. Hubbie is always telling me that I speak before I think and therefore end up by setting the cat among the pigeons, so I obvioulsy don’t need to wait for the next life for that one!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. We now have thunder and lightning to go with the wind and rain UGH!

    Yvonne.
