We’ve been away last week, over at Kentallen on the west coast of Scotland – near Glencoe. These were the views of Loch Linnhe from our bedroom windows, taken late afternoon on the day we arrived. Click on the photos to enlarge them:
Here’s a close-up of the flag:
We got back home last night and I’ve got lots more photos of the places we visited – I just need time to sort them all out.

Beautiful! I’ve never been to Scotland but I should since my ancestors come from there. I love the rugged coastline and the hills.

Gorgeous shots. We’ve never been there but my mother-in-law’s ancestors came from the Isle of Skye.

It looks lovely Margaret. I must make the effort to explore the north of England and cross the border into Scotland. My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/DncFP

Glencoe is high on my list of places to visit. I was in Aberdeen recently and couldn’t get away to see more of the countryside, so I loved these pics.

Lovely! I’ve not been to Scotland and sadly I’ve reached that point where I realize that life can only hold a certain number of possiblities – I don’t know if a visit to Scotland is in my future.

You lucky thing you – we only managed to get as far as Glasgow this week! I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the photos.
Of course I have to say that everyone should visit Scotland at least once.

That looks such an amazing place- although it does look rather chilly. I’d love to get to Scotland one day too- I regard it as my ancestral home.

Thanks to you and Katrina at Pining for the West blog, I have many beautiful pictures of Scotland. I’m doing my own Scottish Challenge thanks to all the recommendations and pictures I view on your blogs. And of course, next time I travel it will have to be Scotland, Ireland and England together!

Margaret, I’m so glad you get to go off on these short trips. There are so many interesting and beautiful places to see in England and Scotland. I hope to get back to Scotland one day. I’m thinking that next spring when hopefully I’ll have my energy back after all my treatments, we might get to start traveling a little again. Dave doesn’t like long trips, but we too have many short trip possibilities.
