I’m featuring Close to Death by Anthony Horowitz, book 5 in the Hawthorne and Horowitz murder mystery series. It’s on my 20 Books of Summer list.

I just learned about the Hawthorne and Horowitz series. Where have I been? Do you think it is a good one?

Anne I really enjoy the Hawthorne and Horowitz series. This one is good, but it’s a bit different from the earlier books as Horowitz, who uses himself as a character in the books, is looking at one of Hawthorne’s old cases and plays a smaller part in this novel than he did in the earlier books in the series. It would probably be better to start with the first one, The Word is Murder to get the background.
