Week 5 of Nonfiction November is hosted by Deb Nance at Readerbuzz and we’re looking back at the previous weeks. And in particularly at which ones have made it onto our TBR?
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed taking part in Nonfiction November and there are so many fascinating books I could easily add to my TBR list. But I know my limitations, so these are my choices:
From Liz – Adventures in Reading, Running and Working from Home
- Arthur Ransome and Capt. Flint’s Trunk by Christina Hardyment
- 36 Islands: In Search of the Hidden Wonders of the Lake District … and a Few Other Things Too by Robert Twigger
From Frances – Volatile Rune
- All the Lives We Ever Lived Solace in Virginia Woolf by Katharine Smyth
- As a Jew by Sarah Hurwitz
- Wild Thing: A Life of Paul Gauguin, by Sue Prideaux
From What? Me Read? – Life Among the Qallunaat by Mini Aodla Freeman
From She Reads Novels – Britain’s Greatest Private Detective by Nell Darby
From What Cathy Read Next – Take Courage: Anne Brontë and the Art of Life by Samantha Ellis
I hope you like the Nell Darby book if and when you read it!

These all look so interesting, Margaret! I always respect the wide variety in the books that you choose and review. And I really like the idea of sharing book choices with others. It’s a great way to get new ideas fo books.

Thanks for the shout-out! I hope you can find the Hardyment, it’s so good but I had to chase it down second-hand. I will post my Week 5 post nearer the end of the week as I usually spot something I’ve missed in everyone else’s!

You have a fine selection. This has been my first Nonfiction November challenge, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m going to love reading all the books I’ve added to my already groaning list! Happy reading in 2026!

I’m curious about All the Lives We Ever Lived Solace in Virginia Woolf. I somehow left it off my list, but I think I need to look for it.
