It’s time for another Classics Club Spin.
The Spin rules:
- List any twenty books you have left to read from your Classics Club list.
- Number them from 1 to 20.
- On Friday (March 10) the Classics Club will announce a number.
- This is the book to read by 1 May 2017.
This is my list:
- Lorna Doone: A Romance of Exmoor by R D Blackmore
- Moll Flanders by Daniel Defoe
- Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens
- The Forsyte Saga (1) by John Galsworthy
- Martin Chuzzlewit by Charles Dickens
- Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens
- The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle
- Parade’s End by Ford Maddox Ford
- Little Dorrit by Charles Dickens
- Mary Barton by Elizabeth Gaskell
- North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell
- Wives and Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell
- Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy
- The Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy
- Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
- All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque
- Sweet Thursday by John Steinbeck
- Gulliver’s Travels by Jonathan Swift
- Framley Parsonage (Barsetshire Chronicles, #4) by Anthony Trollope
- Orlando by Virginia Woolf
Great list! There are hardly any of those I wouldn’t be happy to read myself. Lorna Doone’s on my list too this time but under a different number – my father always claimed it as his favourite book, so I feel incredibly guilty that I’ve never read it…
