… one of my favourite flowers:
Fuchsia
Photos taken in my former garden.
A couple of commenters have asked is this a perennial. It’s a herbaceous perennial that flowers in the spring and summer and dies back in the winter. My next door neighbour grew them in profusion and I grew this one in our garden from a cutting off one of her plants.
An ABC Wednesday post for the letter F.

Fuchsia, gift of Herr Fuchs, loved by bees, it has colonised Clare – and this garden.

I love that word “fuchsia.” But I always have to look it up for the proper spelling! At least here I didn’t have to do that.

Gorgeous! We especially love this color in our yard because it attracts hummingbirds, although in the desert we can’t grow this beautiful plant!

Gorgeous, I’ve always loved them, they’re one of my very first memories. I have some crackers in my garden at the moment. A new one for me is Voodoo which is quite a wicked looking dark purple.
