These photos were taken last Sunday when we were with our son and his dog – a ‘rescued’ greyhound from the Greyhound Sanctuary. It was a lovely walk (even though as you can see from the sky it was threatening to rain all morning) from the John Muir Country Park to the beach then over the salt marshes then through a little wood and back to the car park. As well as greyhounds, there were also whippets, afghan hounds and a labrador. The beach was deserted apart from us and the surfers – perfect.
Lovely photos! I’m envious–I have this huge desire to visit the seaside!! I am reading one of the more recently Elizabeth George novels which is set in Cornwall and talks a little about surfing! I see some surfers in your photo.
Margaret – What lovely ‘photos! Thanks for sharing. I especially like the one with the four-legged “beachcombers.” What a great shot!

Beautiful photos! I especially like seeing the greyhounds – we just adopted a rescued ‘grey’ a couple weeks ago.
