Today’s MUSING MONDAYS post is about bookmarks€¦
What do you use to mark your place while reading? Do you have a definite preference? Do you use bookmarks, paper, or (gasp) turn down the pages? If you use bookmarks, do you have a favourite one?
I love bookmarks. I never, ever turn down the corners of the pages.
Here are just a few of my favourites:
These Chinese bookmarks are made of sliver-thin wood and belonged to my sister. She bought them when she visited China a few years ago.
i like book marks too… and the kitty one is old! I have that exact same one lol

Beautiful bookmarks – but I’d be afraid to use them! Sort-of like saving the good china for company!
I like the poem – it’s a good message for reading or anything else!
Here’s mine.

Very interesting collection there, I do like the wooden ones, so different. I see you have a degree from the O.U. (I have dabbled in a few of their courses, mostly shorter ones)what is your degree?

I’m almost as bad with bookmarks as I am with books. Go about collecting them all over the place. Waterstones is a good source of free ones! Your millennium one is lovely.

Thanks for all your comments. Mog I did an Arts degree, mainly Literature and History, with some Philosophy, Religion, Music and Art History etc thrown in. I loved it.

You have inspired me to start a collection of bookmarks. I often leave a book lying open, upside down. Sometimes I develop a stack of three or four books open, upside down. Then it’s easy to switch quickly from one to another.

Oh, I love bookmarks, as well. I have two that are favorites, although I don’t actually use them. One is a sterling silver bookmark by S. Kirk & Sons that my uncle found at a yard sale for .25. It’s just beautiful. I’ve since done some looking online and found that this company made quite a few beautiful silver bookmarks. However, my favorite bookmark would be the silver heart that my husband bought for me a couple years ago and had my initials monogrammed on it. I went to look for it the other day and couldn’t find it. I turned my house upside down. I actually took down every book I have and looked through it and still can’t find it. I’m just sick! Hopefully, it’ll turn up.
