Reading and writing with a cat is not easy – this is the Heidi Handicap:
She likes to sit on my lap when I’m using the computer, or even in front of the keyboard, regardless of whatever else is there – in this case the book I was checking whilst writing a post.

Comment has disappeared again… apologies if I post twice… computer is on the blink… What I was trying to sat is that when cats are in the mood for love, affection and attention they muscle in on whatever you are doing and expect you to drop everything! My cats are the same. The one wants to be in my chair all the time so I have to move him every time I want to sit at the computer. Then he’ll nip at my feet if I put him down. Sometimes I put the spray bottle on the floor next to me as a warning. He ignores it though. Here’s Mine

Cuteness! My cat likes to sit on the books that I leave around too. Luckily she doesn’t bother me when I am at the computer though.

She’s a beauty! I have that same problem as well. If I set a book down my cats immediately thing it is an invitation for them to sprawl on top!
