Thanks everyone. It was a peaceful end to the day if a little eerie as the cattle made their way along the Solway Firth. it was also very itchy – I was bitten by lots of midges!
Roxane, I don’t think I’d seen cattle on the beach before either. The house hunting is going slowly, but we may have found the right house, not far from these scenes, and there is a room I could use as a library!
Oh that is just splendid Margaret! I do hope that it works and all goes smoothly for you. You will have a library of your own, that is dreamy, I can picture you already in it. So fun. About the shore line, I really do like those type of scenery because it seems that every hour is another mood, another place. It is hard to do anything else but stare though, a good excuse for idleness.
This may be a Wordless post, but you’re usual eloquence has prompted me to grant you the Superior Scribbling award…stop by my blog for details. Write on…lovely pictures, btw, as usual :)
A real end of the day feeling in these photos.

That is something I have never seen: cows on the beach. I love it. How is the house hunting going?

Definitely an area I’d like to visit. Somehow I’ve missed out on the Solway area.
