I read The Man of Property years ago and really enjoyed it. And every year I tell myself that this is going to be the year I finally read The Divine Comedy, but so far I’ve managed to talk myself out of it every time. Maybe this year….

I was just thinking about The Divine Comedy yesterday. Not sure if I’ll tackle it this year since I’m going to read The Faerie Queene, but one never knows!
Happy New Year!

You’ve got some great books on that list — I’m intrigued by the Wroe book on Shelley, and The Pleasure of Reading sounds great too.

What a great list! I’m not making any goals for the year. I do have Eden’s Outcasts though and hope to get to it sometime during the year. Happy 2009!

Galsworthy and Dante are also on my to-read lists for 2009. I’ve never heard of The Pleasure of Reading, but I like Fraser’s work – sounds interesting :)

Happy New Year, Margaret! I don’t have many plans for this year, but I do have a couple of lists I’d like to pick books from! I would love to read the Galsworthy books, but I’m not sure it will happen. I love the sound of the Fraser book.

I have Eden’s Outcasts, and hope to read it this year, too. I read a few of the Galsworthy years ago when the show was on PBS. I remember them as okay but not my faves.
