Last weekend I planned posts for the week ahead. I managed to stick to the plan, but I did find it a bit stressful. So, this week I’m taking it as it comes. I may do a Top Ten Tuesday post and a review post of The Lieutenant by Kate Grenville, but that is by no means a definite plan. I’ll be busy next week in the garden, now that the grass is growing along with everything else!
And I may pluck up courage and visit Barter Books – that will be exciting!
Do you plan your posts, I’m wondering? Do you find it helps or hinders?
In my opinion, you’re far better off not stressing yourself about posting, Margaret. It’s just easier that way, and more enjoyable! Nothing wrong with taking it as it comes. As for me, I plan in the sense of knowing which days I will post (I post on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays). But the topic? I don’t plan that so much. It lets me have some flexibility.

Thank you for your comment Margot! I usually just wing it – but I wondered if I’d find it easier to be more organised, but I discovered it doesn’t work very well for me.

Good luck with Barter Books. I was there last week and I did feel safe – there weren’t too many people x

Thank you – I hope I’ll feel the same. In the past most of the time when I went there it was absolutely packed with people – and some of the aisles are very narrow!!

No, I don’t plan my posts. I just do one when I have books to review or something to say. Which means I don’t post as often as I used to which is fine as I have other things to do, the garden, jigsaws… and lots of books to read. I think I may have inadvertently taken a step back from blogging to be honest, to the point where I’m now only doing 5 – 6 posts a month.

Thanks, Cath. I think that maybe I should do the same. This week I’m very busy and some of the family are visiting on Sunday and we’re getting the decking ready to sit outside. Here’s hoping the weather will be better than today – cold wet and windy. So not many posts this week!

I do plan ahead, but I don’t always stick to my plan!

I think last week was the only time I’ve ever stuck to a plan! Good to know you don’t always stick to your plan too.

This is so interesting because I’m always in turmoil! I don’t make plans thinking it’ll all just work out but then if I leave it for a few days it can turn into months with nothing! I don’t know what the answer is, my daughter says enjoy it but. . .

It’s hard – maybe it would help if you tried what Margot does, she posts on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Or whichever days you want. As your daughter says enjoy it!

I only plan ahead if we’re going to be away from home, which obviously hasn’t been possible for a long time now. I’ve got into the very bad habit of blogging very late at night which isn’t good as in the morning I realise that I missed out things I wanted to write about, but my tired brain forgot about it! I hope you have a good time at Barter Books.

I used to plan ahead for when I was away from home – well, sometimes I did. I blog early mornings but get so caught up in catching up with other blogs I often run out of time and don’t actually write anything. It’s so easy to get distracted. I had an interesting time at Barter Books yesterday, the first time I’ve been anywhere with many people around me – apart from when I had the vaccine – and it was a bit scary. I’m hoping I’ll get round to writing about it soon!
