20 Books of Summer is on again this year, hosted by Cathy at 746 Books!

Pick your own 10, 15 or 20 books you would like to read idea and review between 3rd June and 3rd September – even better you can change the list whenever you want, which is perfect for someone like me who can never decide in advance what to read next.

I love making lists – even if I don’t stick to them. Each year I’ve taken part in this I’ve never managed to stick to my list but I’m having another go this year …

Here’s my initial list (of course what I actually read could be very different, but I’ll try to stick to this list). I’ve not listed them in any particular order, but just as they came to my mind:

  2. What a great list, Margaret! I think the Dalziel/Pascoe series is always worth (re)reading. And I see you’ve got a Martin Edwards – he’s quite talented – and some Kate Atkinson, too. And that’s just for a start. I hope you’ll enjoy the ones you read.

  3. I was wondering if I would do this challenge this year — and if it would happen — and you have your list picked already. I probably will do it, I have always enjoyed it. Coming up with the list is the best part. I may include a book by Josephine Tey and one by Kate Atkinson on my list too.

  4. Good luck! I’m still putting my list together, but I think The Doll Factory and Those Who Are Loved might be on mine too. You seem to have a good variety of books there – I hope you enjoy them all.

  10. Good luck with your list, Margaret 🙂 It looks like you have a great mixture of books to look forward to. The only one I’ve read off your list is Far From the Madding Crowd, which I loved and I hope you do too! I will be making my own list and will hopefully have it up soon.

  11. Life After Life is absolutely amazing, and if you haven’t read A God in Ruins, I highly recommend that one as well. Good luck with the challenge!

  13. I always admire people who can make lists and stick to them. It’s a subtle art form, and I’m doing my best to learn (but my mind is chaotic, and so is my TBR, oftentimes haha). Your picks look great. I’ve heard so much good stuff about The Doll Factory, in particular. Happy reading, and good luck with the 20 Books of Summer. I’ve joined in, as well, so we can suffer … erm … I mean, participate together. 😉
